FlashNano Day 12: Write a story inspired (in any way) by this video:

I met him on Electric Avenue. I should have known better, but there was something in the air tonight and he had the look of a guy who was hungry like a wolf.

When he whispered, “Come dancing,” I couldn’t say no. I’m not a material girl, but I’ve always been drawn to a sharp dressed man.

We rocked the casbah that night and let’s just put it this way, I wasn’t a goody two shoes. I guess I just wanted to be somebody’s baby. Well, as they say, one thing leads to another and we were getting physical. He touched me with a slow hand and I was lost in love. Caught up in the heat of the moment and his sexual healing was just what I needed. Unfortunately, I was a fool and fell in love.

The next morning as he did the stray cat strut out the door, all I could do was scream, “Do you really want to hurt me?”

“Relax, baby, voices carry. It’s time for me to fly.”

“Fine, goodbye to you!” I said to the closed door.

I rushed to the window and watched him drive off in his little red corvette.

Foolish of me, I know, but it felt like we were islands in the stream and I swear I saw the look of love in his eyes too. Alas, he was nothing but a heartbreaker.

I called him every hour on the hour, waiting to hear his sultry voice say, “Hello,’ But, I got no reply at all.

It’s not like I thought we’d have a white wedding or anything, but it’s human nature to want to experience a crazy little thing called love.

::Sigh:: Love is a battlefield and I’m just an owner of a lonely heart once again.

Very smart. Great way to string all those song titles together to make a coherent, enjoyable story. This crocodile rocked!

  2. Haha, this was awesome Jody. It was fun placing all of the songs throughout. On a random note: I love that your comment section says “comments welcome, unless they’ll make me cry” Made me laugh.

  3. I guess you weren’t the one he was looking for…. did he tell you that you were much too fast?
