This is Fine

DAY 18 of the Flashnano Challenge. Flashnano is a challenge that involves writing 30 stories in 30 days throughout the month of November. A new writing prompt every day. As a reminder, at this stage I don’t edit these it’s simply raw, off the top of my head writing. Later, I’ll go through any that have potential and edit them. Thanks for reading.

FLASHNANO 2018 – 30 Stories in 30 Days

PROMPT 18: Write a story involving smoke

D2D7B9AD-1961-4C59-88B4-EB2EDA7650AA

Here’s the thing… today is the 25th day of November. There are six more days of this writing challenge and I’m seven days behind.

Look, I simply can’t eat all day, every day and write compelling stories. Apparently at one time Thanksgiving was a time to give thanks and spend time with family. Now I did that stuff, but I also ate mashed potatoes. So many mashed potatoes. I swear mashed potatoes are my vice like smoking is with some people. Notice how I used smoking in the previous sentence? Well, there ya go – Challenge 18 complete. I just used smoke in a story. I also added my favorite “This is fine” meme because 1) it’s the story of my life in two cartoon panels and 2) there’s smoke in it which also checks off the write a story with smoke in it box. Just humor me.

So, my dear readers there ya go. I’m one step closer to completing this challenge and I will finish it. My catch up stories may be lame, but I ain’t no quitter. So, see you in story 19.
