I am a me, without a thee. We were once a pair you see.
But now I am pair-less, a sad little me. Where did you go my wayward thee?
To be a sock without a mate, is there any sadder fate?
Pair-less…. thee-less… the me stands alone.
Where DO all the wayward socks go — leaving behind these sad little singulars? Are the thees missing the mees as much as the mees miss the thees? Guess we’ll never know. I always feel sorry for the sock left behind – thee-less. For that reason alone, I wear mismatched socks… who says the me has to be twins with the thee? Not me.
Nonsense is fun, I hope you agree.
